One must not forget about Little Boy Blue, who fell asleep under the hay. And little Miss Muffett was sitting on a tuffet when a spider frightened the poor girl away. Characters and scenes from classic nursery rhymes now adorn a hallway at Chandler Elementary School, thanks to the donation of time and talent from a former student. Chandler resident Michael Smith has spent countless hours since September working on the mural.
Currituck tattoo shop owes $13K in fines

A Currituck tattoo shop has racked up more than $13,000 in county fines since opening this summer without a required permit.
Dreamcatcher Soundside Tattoo and Body Piercing in fact is being fined $100 a day each day it’s open without a conditional use permit.
Even so, owner Steve Canady has no plans to close.
Instead, Canady is fighting the county Board of Adjustment’s decision to deny his tattoo shop a conditional-use permit. He’s hired an attorney to appeal the adjustment board’s decision to Currituck Superior Court.
Benjamin R. Kuhn, Canady’s Raleigh-based attorney, said he’s hopeful of getting his client’s case before a Superior Court judge sometime next month.

DPS releases tattoo sketch, hopes to identify dead woman
Butterfly Tattoos: LIVE OAK, Texas Law enforcement officials have released a sketch of a butterfly tattoo in hopes it will help them identify a woman who was found dead in May. The woman's body was found in a remote area of Live Oak County, northeast of San Antonio. She had been dead about two weeks when she was discovered. The Texas Rangers said the woman's body was decomposed beyond recognition, but they hope the tattoo sketch released Tuesday will help them identify her. The tattoo on her right calf includes two cartoonish butterflies facing each other with a heart and arrow between them. The initials ``R.T.'' are below the butterflies.
